Around 90% of the designs in our web design portfolio are built on WordPress. Why? Because we absolutely love WordPress! For most of our customers, it is the best content management system available. Here are some of the reasons why we feel this way:
- It’s not just for blogging anymore
Yes it’s true, that WordPress was created for blogging. However, it has developed into much more than that. Now it is primarily a Content Management System, with a really great blogging platform built in. - Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy
I used to hate that phrase, but it’s grown on me, just like WordPress. The primary reason we like building WordPress sites for our clients is that it makes it so easy for them to manage their own content. If you can use Microsoft Word, you can use WordPress. It really is that easy. - Keep Site Content Fresh
Since WordPress is so easy to use, it encourages our clients to keep the website content fresh and updated. They can do it themselves so they don’t have to pay us to do it for them, or wait for us to get to it. They can do it right now. Some say we’re losing money by making it so easy for them to do it, instead of us getting paid to do it for them. We say we would rather do what’s best for the client than what we think will pay more in the short term. We believe that in the long run, this line of thinking pays off. - Easy Access
Since you can login to your WordPress admin dashboard from anywhere, you can update your site from anywhere. Eliminating another excuse to not keep your site up to date! You can also have multiple users adding content to the burden of content creation is not all on one person. - SEO
Out of the box, WordPress is very SEO friendly. With a simple plugin or two, you can have an extremely optimized website with very little effort. You don’t have to know anything about code and tags, etc. You just fill in the blanks.
So those are the biggest reasons we love building WordPress sites for our clients. The bottom line, is that it’s a great fit for most of our clients who want a beautiful site that they can manage easily and keep updated.
